India is such a secular country, where people of every religion have the right to live with freedom. There are temples, mosques, churches, gurudwaras and other religious places of worship for people of all religions. Talk about Islam religion, it has a large share in the world’s population. There are 195 countries in the world, out of which 57 are Islamic countries. It is obvious that in these countries there will be a large number of places of worship for Muslims, that is, mosques. But next we are going to tell you a different thing.
Do you know that there are 2 such countries in the world, where there is a Muslim population, but there is no mosque for them. Here Muslim people have to offer prayers in their homes or in any cultural center only. Many times there were demands to build a mosque here, there were controversies many times, but the governments here did not allow the mosque to be built.
The names of these two countries are – Slovakia and Estonia. Both these countries are in Europe. Both of these names are included in the happiest countries of the world. These two countries are not very old. In recent years, they have joined the European Union. In Slovakia and Estonia, governments have been arguing that there are very few Muslim populations behind the absence of a single mosque.
According to the 2011 census, the Muslim population in Slovakia is only 0.2 percent, while in Estonia also the Muslim population is said to be 0.14 percent or around 1500. Although the Muslim population here would have increased a lot in the last 10 years, but the mosque was not built here. There was a demand to build a mosque in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, but the government turned it down.
Even during the European refugee crisis in 2015, Slovakia gave asylum to 200 Christians, but did not give asylum to Muslim refugees. The government said that they do not have a mosque here. Giving asylum to a Muslim can create a crisis regarding the demand for a mosque. This decision of the government was widely criticized, but Slovakia stuck to its decision.
